VIDEO EDITING

These tutorial videos were designed as part of a consultation with Medical Assisting faculty at Macomb Community College. Part of this consultation was to work with instructors to identify the performance issue and engage with learner feedback to determine the cause.  The result was this video series.

The Problem: Instructors observed that students were often plagiarizing the web.  Learners were intimidated by research requirements and needed strategies to cite the information they used from the web.

INSTRUCTOR-LED TRAININGS

This instructor-led training was designed and developed for peer and professional tutors in the Macomb Community College Learning Centers.  A large part of serving students in a two-year-college is responding to their very diverse needs, and administration was looking for a way to support tutors without overwhelming them with branching strategies for each distinct student type.  Universal Design for Learning answered this need, and this training was developed to help tutors develop an overall framework with specific strategies to meet student needs.
